WORKSHOP SIX
Title: Exploitation of Nano-Medicine

Date and time: Monday 5 September 2005, 14.30 - 17.30

Nano Experts Running this Workshop
Chair: Julie Deacon (MNT Network)
Co-chair: Stephen Dennison (MNT Network)

Abstract
There have been significant advances in medicine arising from micro- and nanotechnology: novel approaches to discovery, diagnostics, drug delivery and tissue regeneration. The objective of this workshop was to bring together the users and providers of nanotechnology to discuss the applications of nanotechnology in the broad medical field. The objective was to identify the commercial needs of the pharmaceutical and medical sector, the solutions that existed and the developments required to address these needs, to catalyse the exploitation of nanomedicine.
